Our jobs and our lives are increasingly spent sitting down. Keeping physically active creates endorphins and this keeps your body healthy and this will help you to stay mentally healthy.

It doesn’t have to be expensive, just something you can do a couple of times a week, and that you both enjoy and look forward to. The exercise gurus talk about two to three times a week of strength building exercise. This may not be possible for you, but you CAN get up from your desk and do some stretching. You can head outdoors at lunchtime and walk around the block.

Rome wasn’t built in a day, but active lifestyles practiced outdoors can make the difference between feeling happy and becoming overwhelmed amidst the torrent of stress many of us face daily.
